To me this means that although yes cheaters can and do win races, games, etc. but morally they lost and everyone knows it including themselves therefore in the end even the cheater cannot enjoy his / her victory knowing how they came to get it. Who'd want to win by cheating anyway? Where's the fun in losing occasionally and with good sportsmanship?

cheaters never win because in the end its a false victory, it all goes back to honor and doing the right thing, i play amateur sports (football and baseball) and can not understand why people decide to cheat at winning a game because a victory that was fought hard for is an amazing feeling, same goes when you lose, if you tried your hardest than you never really lose... hope thats what ur looking for...

Because they don't. What do you win if you cheat? You didn't win the game... you don't even know how to play it if you have to revert to cheating.
If you're referring to cheaters in relationships, it always comes back to biting you in the ***.
Bottom line is wherever someone cheats, they lose. They lose the lesson, the concept, and the self-respect.

because cheaters do actually win sometimes, but they have to live knowing they had to cheat to win or they end up getting caught

Because when your win through cheating means you never had the chance to prove yourself what you rally can do. You may have the prize but you know you can't boast within yourself because you know that you're nothing because you were not able to play fair.

first; they cheated to win, they are losers from the first place.
second; lets say someone cheated and passed something; it can affects him in the future, her or his selfsteem, his image infront of his family, children maybe! friends might degrade him. so even if he or she got something by cheating; they surely have lost soemthing else somewhere
last - yet not least- if you believe in God/Allah and the after life... every cheater will face his or her mistakes!

Because the only one they have cheated is Them self. They have given up their character in order to achieve something that is a a lie, because they did not do it fairly so in essence they are a loser.

i believe that this statement is used in an effort to teach our children that the prize is won by not cheating. it's meant to encourage children that even though you might lose, at least you didn't cheat.

because cheaters are smart enough to win but not smart enought to know they are wrong. cheating is cheating .....and that is not wining fairly .. on top of everything if cheating wouldn't exist they would never win....it also depends wut point of view your look at it. if you cheated on somebody worth it ... you are a loser!! because you lost something good... if not he/she is not worth it you can call you self a winner.J/k
