I am looking to help my single female friend to find a 'normal' guy who can at least eat with a knife and folk, hold down a job and have his own roof over his head. She is fed up with dating agencies. There used to be a diners club in Newcastle but it does not seem to exist anymore. Help.....

Recently moved to Newcastle myself I know how difficult it is to find someone in this place its so big. Not good when you're single and new to a place. As someone else said it depends on her age, if its an intelligent bloke shes after could try hanging around the pubs by the universities, ignore the students and target some of the young postgrads and researchers, the hospital is also close so she could bag herself a doctor. A friend of mine suggested I go to salsa dancing classes to meet women, no good for your friend, but maybe some sort of evening class would be a good place to start. Good luck, I tend to favour the getting pissed in the bars sort of approach which probably explains why I'm still looking.

With literally millions of singles wanting to find their soul mate online, looking for the relationship-minded single, scam painters, immature flakes, and other time wasters usually are posting dating profile in the singles websites. Before you invest weeks of time messaging with your potential date, be sure contemplate if the person you happen to be corresponding with online can be an ideal, a fantasy, a fictional or actually a real live man or women. Read on to learn if everything you have is a real relationship or if you are nursing a fantasy imagine an idealized mate.

The singles lifestyle is just not as easy and carefree because it appears, and there are hidden dangers throughout. Problems such as night out rape, STDs and psycho boyfriends. Then there may be the bar scene, the club scene and also the awkwardness of the same old "sex in the city" exercises. All this plus, you need to maintain a job, an area to live and become street wise and careful.
