Inexpensive but creative drinks along with standard old favs, and really what makes a great bar are accessible workers, those who arnt snooty or rude to u, more like a pal, and of course the people who go there, and in my experience, whether or not the owner makes the rounds meeting and greeting ppl.

I have to agree that a good bartender makes a good bar. They have to be prompt, but more importantly, make the drinks correctly.
