Low intensity cardio. Many of us have terrific stomachs, but they are covered by layers of fat. And by the way, the fat on your stomach is the hardest fat to lose, so expect hard work ahead. Shoot for 60 minutes of medium intensity cardio 3-5 times a week. After a year, you should see some drastic changes.

BTW - Educate yourself on your target fat burning heat rate, if you raise your Cardio HR too high, you will not burn any fat at all.

you sound like you are completely caught up in yourself and need to realize that you are not your body and can't take it with you. don't let anything outside of you measure your self-esteem for you!!! I learned this the hard way by recovering from anorexia.

It's unfortunate that something as insignificant as a tape measure can have such an impact on how we feel about ourselves. DON'T LET IT!!! They cannot measure who you are! Exercise. Refuse to skip meals. Do things that make you intrinsically happy. you are the only one that can make you happy. After all, the standards your measure yourelf by should be your own.

you can do crunches and use an ab lounger all day long but it comes down to being really lean...80% diet and 20% working out.
