try fruit smoothies, and get her to help chose what goes in it. Also get her to help bake cakes and pizzas and decorate them and leave them on the side, she'll soon help herself.

if she's still not interested then see a Dr.

maybe the food is making her more unwell... for now i would try feeding her something she likes such as ice cream or sweets, anything is better than nothing im sure....

when she starts to eat that you willknow that there is no real problem with her ability to eat its just her way of trying to take control, so just comprimise with her... say something like, if you eat this bowl of spaggetti then you can have this bowl of ice cream...if you dont eat it all though you dont get the ice cream.

it also helps if you make your self the same food (ie spaggetti) and eat your in front of her... then she will get the idea that its not so bad after all... and when she sees you eating the ice cream as well after it it should be a sure thing...

hope that helps, if not then you might have to take her toyour doctors...

If your daughter has a cold, milky stuff should not be given as it makes you produce more mucus...

If your child is not eating, DO NOT FORCE HER AND DO NOT MAKE A BIG ISSUE OUT OF IT AS YOU WILL GIVE HER A COMPLEX AND THEN IT BECOMES A COMPLETE BATTLE.

Just put different sorts of food, vegetables, fruit, and stuff on the table to try... just little nibbly bits and see if the colours etc pique her interest and if she does eat it, praise her... big time.

Good luck

If she eats all that you say, at least she won't starve. Appetite will come back. Does she have a sore throat? Maybe swallowing is painful. Stick to food she can swallow easily. I used to have times when I couldn't eat when I was a kid and my mother always thought I would starve, but here I am, sound and healthy. Give her lots to drink, juices and milk and try banana milk (banana puree mixed with milk and sugar and egg yolk)
I hope she gets well soon

I once couldnt eat for a while. I Got this liquid from the chemist which is basically a food replacement. It tasted like orange juice so something like that would be good for a child

ok, i know this isn't a perfect answer but try some of these, make the food appear appetizing and colorful, don't force anything to her coz she might just shun away eating, more water and fruit juices, ask her what she wants or better yet, consult your doctor if nothing else works

If she is better now then why ask the question? You loose all senses when you havee a cold and foood is tasteless. Maybe her throat is sore. Keep an eye on her, she will eat more when she is feeling better.

give her things she like as long as it is healthy eg fruit, or try making things in a different way eg sauces with loads of veg. Maybe she is just feeling under the weather.

If the cold is gone you may want to giver vitamins for children right away. A home made solution may not be right.

She IS eating. She's eating light--yogurt, fruit. That's fine. Do NOT push her to eat. She's getting over a cold.

This is one of the reasons that we have so many OBESE kids/teens these days. Parents push kids to eat, eat, eat. She will eat when she is hungry. As long as she's eating a little bit and drinking, leave her alone.
