you dont have to fix them both at the same time.. call your vets to find out what they charge and get one fixed as soon as you can - vets often book MONTHS in advance - so if you wait too long it can be too late..
they can breed as early as 5 months but this is the equivalent of a 12yr old person.. so there are alot of risks involved in addition to unwanted kittens

I am very glad you want to fix them - save your money make this a priority - ask your vet if they know of any financial incentive programs to help you with costs...

Get them the two fixed. the assumption to purely get the female fixed could be particularly to get the two fixed. you are able to ward off the male from branding all around your homestead and struggling with with different men that intervene into his area. The male can breed extra kittens than the female could have in all her existence via getting unfastened for some days exterior. the two would be extra social to you and healthful in case you have them the two fixed. With surgical operation on the instant, the prospect is minor. they only prefer a sprint restoration time whilst they get homestead. they are going to be returned to regularly occurring suited away. I actual have had all my 5 cats, the two woman and male, fixed as quickly as they have been of the splendid age. I actual have a clean kitten virtually sufficiently old to be fixed quickly. At 5 months, i might get them executed quickly in the previous the female is going into warmth. The male could be waiting now. Ask the vet whilst they are going to be waiting.

get them fixed at 6 months. but between 4-8 months cats become sexually mature, so keep an eye on the female and to be safe at 5 months start keeping them apart when they are not supervised.

When the girl goes into heat, she can get pregnant. It usually happens around 6 months old for the first time. I'd get it done soon even if you can only fix one at a time.

Most vets like to wait until the cats are 6 months old. If your female cats comes into heat, just keep them away from each other until they are fixed.

their reproductive systems mature at 6 months. so anytime after that is when they need to be spayed/neutered

your local shelter/pet store might do discount operations...call around and ask. vets might know something too or be able to work out a payment plan
