When you think of things you want in a library, what comes to mind? What makes a good library?

This can range anywhere from the types of books, group study areas, technologies, lighting conditions etc. Looking for ideas for renovations to make a library cutting edge. Focus on the technology aspect

Firstly it definitely must have free wireless internet. Going along with that, every workstation should have it's own electric plug. You would also need a good amount of 1 person workstations and then table workstations.

One of the most important things that a library can have though, is friendly and intelligent staff. They should be trained to "know their stuff" and you should have specialists for each area of the library. All too many times, you go into a library and there are some elderly ladies who don't know anything about the internet.

Also, it's good to have a "community room" where you can have a book club, lectures, etc.

You can have the best of everything and if you do not have a great, informed,friendly, and helpful staff...you have a bunch of stuff most people can't access! I like to see alot of computers with printers, book clubs, personal study areas great lighting. Some areas to set and read that have a lot of windows, looking out onto a great scene like an outdoor reading garden, areas for kids to explore, select books, read and do crafts maybe even a movie time and especially a story time, clean bathrooms ( are a must) maybe even a place like a coffee shop where you can pursue a book and a great cup of coffee at the same time. Great lighting is wonderful but, I have found we enjoy the natural lit areas of our local library best. Again I can't stress how important it is to have fired up and informed, excited staff...goes a long way.

I constantly discover it interesting how human beings translate activities into "solutions from god''...right here, you're saying you probably did no longer remember praying, yet you won an 'intense answer'. and you're saying you don't understand the respond...then, i'd ask, what stable is it? in case you're susceptible, it is user-friendly to translate any adventure, or non-adventure, into an 'answer from god'. Like examining a verse interior the Bible and ten human beings discover ten distinctive meanings in it, if the respond can't be at as quickly as linked to the question, and does not have an instantaneous, user-friendly, one for one meaning, what stable is it? What fee God?
