Before a guy asks a girl on a date, does he have to be sure that she likes him?does she have to have given him some "hints" that she wants him to ask her out on a date?are guys afraid of rejection?

You seriously have to ask that question? Of course guys are afraid of rejection, and they usually won't ask a girl out unless he has a clue that she might be responsive to him.

Most guys are afraid of rejection that's why it takes them so long to ask a woman out on a date. Most men don't usually give hints unless they start doing a little flirting with you.. then when they feel comfortable enough to ask you out they will.

depends on the guy, he might be confident and probably ask without hints but some guys are shy and like to be sure. Its hard these days, i have met/dated girls in my time and each had a different view, some wanted my to hold the door open and pay some thought that was wimpish and wanted a domineering man. and yes i guess i fear rejection, no nice for anyone

Yes some guys are afraid of rejection. But some guy ask anyway. However, it is harder to ask a girl you really like over one you just want sex from.

Well its not always that guys ask out girls when they are sure if the girl likes them. sometimes its just a matter of trial and error. Men are the weakest when it comes to rejection. they are hell scared of being rejected but the most interesting thing is they just have to face it.

Why do you think you can generalise about 'guys' like that? Some guys are afraid, some guys aren't. Also it depends on how keen the guy is on the girl a lot of the time - the less keen, the less nervous he'll be...A bit like going for a job you don't really want....

We are afraid of rejection it takes a lot of courage and we look for interested signs from the lady concerned.
It's hard for us men. We have to make most of the moves even in this equality society

I would never have a date unless I asked guys out. Very rarely do guys approach me for a date. I've been told I'm good looking but I intimidate men somehow, my answer, whatever? Don't wait for them to ask you out, go ahead and take a chance.

yea guys are afraid of rejection but i think a guy will ask a gurl out for a date just to give it a shot sometimes if the gurl is gonna give him a sign she is interested
