HI there again Ahmad...because you live overseas I don't know if you have the ability to purchase or fine materials to build a cat kennel. This would be the best way to help separate the cats. You need to prevent the father breeding with the daughter to minimize the riks of birth defects which can occur with inbreeding.

If you let related cats mate, you'll end up with inbred cats. That means a higher chance of genetic disorders, high vet bills and a lot of heartache. The risk is even greater with purebreds because they're already inbred.

As for your other question, I think those are the only ways to prevent a pregnancy, so you'll just have to pick one. Either that, or ask your vet if he performs abortions.

And to the person who said the questioner was "killing cats": Unregulated breeding does create many problems, but no breeding at all would mean cats would go extinct. For all you know, the questioner could be a breeder. Anyway, he obviously kept the last batch of kittens or he wouldn't be having this problem. So he's not filling up the shelters.

Not unusual. Male cats will kill newborn kittens to get the female to come into estrus again. In the wild, the life span of a cat is only about 2 years. Reproduction is the main drive of the animal. You need to get both the male and the kitten fixed. It is best for a domesticated animal that you want as a pet. Wild behavior does not agree with domestication.

you should prevent it unless you want deformed kittens....

why wouldnt you fix either cat?? are they registered show cats who have proven them selves to be worthy of breeding??
if not then you should be aware there are many health risks associated with a cat being unfixed, like increases in cancer....
an agressive male can seriously hurt a smaller female and if he did get her pregant at a young age it can seriously affect her overall health and chances..she is the equivalent of 10-11 years old....
how can you prevent it?? by spaying or neutering or keeping them in seperate rooms.. but you will have to do this EVERY TIME she comes into heat or you risk an inbred litter

honestly if you loved your pets you whould get at least one of them fixed.. for their own sake if nothing else

You need to fix the cats or you are going to keep having kittens. You are adding to the overpopulation problem in shelters. You're pretty much killing cats by not having yours fixed.

Amy, if this guy was a breeder he wouldn't ask such stupid questions and he would be more responsible.

Animal nature will be for unspayed and unneutered animals to mate. If you want to prevent unwanted pregnancies, keep only ALL males or ALL females. Not one of each. That will only lead to more unwanted animals.

Get rid of dad or the daughter. If you're not willing to do that...oh well.
