SLEESTACK 10,
That is a very interesting question. Yes. A Christian does die; to himself.
You notice that the baptism, when someone is immersed in water and then pulled up, as if they are laying down in the Earth, and then Resurrected?
That's just an outward symbol of the decision that a Christian made. Put into the ground and then pulled out of the ground; the water being the 'symbol' of the earth that a body is laid in. The promise is that we will be raised from the dead, a new creation provided by the Spirit of God because of faith in that promise of God.
It is so very cool!

As a matter of fact, YES! In order to be born again, we must die to our sins, to our 'old man'. This is the only way to be saved.
It doesn't matter if I'm wasting my breath on you. The Truth is the Truth, and everyone has a right to know it.

"Born again" means born spiritually, after being born physically....it does not mean you die, and then come back again...
we are born into a world full of sin and negative things, and t hen we are influenced by this negativity. When we become born again, we invite the life of God into our spirits, so that we can live better lives that are more pleasing to god

You didn't die physically. You only die spiritually when you're born again. It's a metaphor for pledging your life in God's service and not going back to acting and talking and partaking in the ways, speech, and actions of your former self.

When you accept Jesus as your savior, and become born again, your old self as you once were, which was lost and a sinner destined to perrish in the flames of hell with satan, are now reborn into the family of God and Jesus. You no longer belong to your own self, but have become the temple of God.
1 Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
I praise the Lord for His leading you here and seeking out His truth. In the precious name of Jesus, amen

That is the most intelligent question I have ever seen on this stupid program. I am being serious. The next time I bump into a born again christian, and they say," I am a born again christian." I will reply,"How did you die?" Thank you for asking a good question sorry I don't have a real answer for you, but I am sure some religous nut will answer it for you.

Once you are a born again it means that you died to your old self with its sins. It means that you no longer wish to carry on sinning & that you are turning towards God. You may fall in Sin many times but the difference is that it is just a stumble & not a life style.

Mr. Sleesack thank you,so much for these good questions! Yes!, when you are saved you die to your old sinful nature. God makes you a new person in spirit. And this new person is in fellowship with God. He is your sustainer.
