The last time I gave blood, I felt wiped out for 2 or 3 days afterwards. That was spur of the moment giving--I hadn't planned on it, but did so when I found out that my gym was having a blood drive.
This time I know far in advance, and would like some tips on what to do or eat in the days before donating so that I'm not as wiped out afterwards.
Thanks!

Well when I donate blood I make sure I eat a banana cause of the potassium it helps me also I eat something healthy and solid basically make sure you not donated on an empty stomach. After wards try eating a Latin chicken soup I say Latin because we make our chicken soup with many different type of vegetable not only potatoes and carrot. This soup is filled with vitamin and proteins great to lift you up it normally what we eat after giving birth in our hospital beds. If you want the recipe for Spanish chicken soup write back.

Eat well before you donate blood (balanced breakfast or lunch depending on the time you're donating), and eat sweet stuff, that usually works for me.
