You can upgrade to the NEW AVG FREE antivirus software and it's still free. When you download it say you want to "repair" it and then it will upgrade you. Still FREE.

Otherwise you can find other antivirus and tons of other free programs here: http://www.filehippo.com/

Download the free version of AVG. It seems you may have the pay to use version on your PC at the moment. Just download the setup file for the free version, then disconnect from the net and uninstall the current version of AVG, reboot and then install the free version you just downloaded.

That should do the job.

You go to AVG web site and download the new Free 7.5 version and it will remove the old and install the new, AVG is not ending they are just moving forwards, so you install the latest one, I did it today on 4 different computers

Uninstall the avg and start again. Goto http://free.grisoft.com also goto www.ewido.net to get anti malware and spyware products.

A torrent is a peer to peer site. Meaning if i have a program(say for instance the latest girls aloud cd) I buy the cd,put it on my computer and then register it on a torrent site. Then anyone who wants that cd can download it for free.
The thing to do is when you download it,you must register it with the torrent site,so people can download it from you.that way everyone downloads it quicker.
Try "bearshare" as well, this is much easier to unpack onto your computer. Torrents can be a pain to unpack.
Hope this helps. Good luck
