Like my friend who refused to act in a school drama in which he was chosen to act as Vishnu ( one of Hindu's God ) as his grandfather had died some days before . Just because of this he was slapped 5 to 6 times by his teacher . He was admitted to the Jayanagar General Hospital on November 14 night with nausea and loss of hearing, and imbalance while walking.
The family of the 15-year-old has lodged a complaint with the Subramanyapura Police Station located within the school limits against school principal Deepa Sridhar, who slapped the student many times on his face in front of teachers and students for refusing to take part in a play.

its bcuz they hate Muslims.. this is not a case of now adays.. it has been there for centuries..
Muslims treated the Hindus perfectly .. but the HIndus always kept a grudge against them,.. n this they do with christians too..
the Brahmans (3% of the whole population) have the control over all the good stuff.. whereas the Shudras (the untouchables) which r in majority r suffering!!!
even before the indo pak partition.. the Congress (indian political party) when got some power in some provinces made every student bow infront of the picture of GANDHI.. they gave a damn abt the feelings of muslim students.. n Muslims were not a minority .. they were 40% of the ppl.. n thats not a minority...
n they were also forced to sing "BANDRE MATRAM" at the school assemblies which had hatred for Muslims....
hindus have always been treating Muslims like this.. well not only muslims but also christians n the untouchables.. i read in a history book that they used to put molten lead into the ears of the shudras if they heard the hindu holy book!

From what you have asked , i really don't see any religion involved here.Is it just possible that if your friend was a Hindu , do you think he would have been slapped too or does this teacher dislike Muslims?
Are you jumping the gun here a little perhaps?
When i visited India (my village)i became almost like brothers with some of the Hindu people there.Just like there are good Muslims , there are bad Muslims too- the same for Hindus or any other religion for that matter.
I am a Muslim , and yes i have heard of a lot of abuses going on in India against Muslims.
I am so proud of the country i live(South Africa) in because i have so many friends of different faiths , and we somehow don't seem to have religion problems.
And yes i have Hindu friends too.We respect each other as human beings and i sincerely hope that everyone can be the same .

as for your teacher... he should be imprisoned for some long time
i can't believe there are people out there who could hit a child...
if that happened anywhere in europe he would be convicted long ago...

I somehow understood that the police process began and that nothing happened to the teacher... I'm sorry if I missunderstood.
A 15-year-old is a teenager, but still anything below 18 is by definition a child is has all the rights garatied by the Convention on the Rights of the Child. Needles to say that hitting anyone, being that someone a child or not, is illegal and should be prossecuted. The fact that the one being hit was an underage just adds to the burden (of guilt)

Many Islamic countries have taught through propaganda to hate kill and be martyrs thus the violence you see today in the middle east which puts a black eye on the faith and is taught through the generations. What I would like to see is the moderate Islamist to stand up against the violence toward the sanctity of human life in the name of Allah.

I'd say those school leaders have many more problems than your Muslim friend. What a bunch of idiots! I wish this had occurred in America so they would be featured and paraded on national news as child abusers, and then get a dose of our justice system and jail.

i don't know why you need to post this incident in religion and spirituality section,what teachers punishment to student has to do with religion, in some country in anger some time teacher use to punish student but they do not use to give punishment to some particular religions students(do you have any report by experts which says Muslim students use to get more punishment ?), why you are deciding yourself that punishment given to your friend because he is Muslim and if you want to think on religions line my question to you is how so many Muslims are here in India? answer is in past on Hindu India lots of Muslim invasion taken place you can imagine how many Hindu had been killed in this invasions so stop this talking/writing based on religion. and even if you want to say that a Hindu teacher slapped your Muslim friend there is no guarantee that particular teacher following Hindu religion properly if some one says i am Hindu that does not mean he/she is real Hindu, actually you need to find Hindu religion scripture writing which says punish the Muslims so stop this Hindu/Muslim writing about SO CALLED Hindu peoples treatment to Muslims and find out what Hindu religion scripture writing says about how to treat other people, and are you aware what Muslim religion scripture writing says about so called infidel Hindus? is it telling you to slap them or telling you to kill them altogether?

Sad to hear this. Your friend should stayed home and continue to get medical help immediately.
As for the teacher who has abused this friend of yours, should be fired and laid off from the teaching profession!

Fear often brings out the worse in people. I don't believe people are "just naturally " mean but when we don't understand and haven't been taught to explore with an open mind we have this sort of thing happening. However, that's no excuse for abuse.
