When asked in a poll 'do you think I'm shy or outgoing?', the guy I like described me as outgoing.
Now, I know that outgoing is someone who is at ease talking to others. But, my question is, is this a good thing?

you need those attributes for so many job types, and well to get ahead in life...
yes I am outgoing and I think it is one of my best attributes

It can be! You just have to watch what you are so "outgoing" about and who you wish to be "outgoing" with! It is better than being shy!

There's nothing wrong with being outgoing just like there's nothing wrong with being shy. A mix of personalities is always good.

If it works... It's good... Then there are other catagories...
A shy outgoing person... and an outgoing shy person... So you can really get into a thicket with personality traits... Accept what works best for you... and be happy...

Most men just have a problem with a woman who talks him to death ! If you don't do that things should be ok . I try NOT to talk too much at first so he doesn't lose interest . Think about it next time you meet someone/anyone and you will know what i mean . I try to be Conservative so i don't make a bad first impression .

a mixture of shy n outgoing would be my choice,although outgoing is not entirely out of question.

both shy and out going is fine. most of us is both under certain conditions.
but in general out going people are more happy. so ya it's a good thing.
