I couldn't ever remember to take my pill either so I started setting my cell phone alarm for 2 every day and now I don't have any problems remembering. Another way to remember is to get a birth control alarm case for your pills. They are cheap($15-20) and they are really cute. You can get the info for them in the back of cosmopolitan magazine or just google birth control alarms. I wouldn't recommend any other forms, all my friends have gotten pregnant while using the other kinds. Good Luck.

I wouldn't recommend the depo shot becuase there are MANY cases where women have had a LOT of trouble conceiving after stopping it, like 3 years. But certainly this doesn't happen for everyone, some women it's great. The patch can come off, but it usually doesn't as long as when you wash, you don't rub it too hard. It might be worth trying if you have trouble remembering your pill each day.
I've been on the pill for 2 1/2 years and I just set a reminder on my cell phone that beeps when it's time to take it. It helps a LOT, especially when I get busy at work. I take it around noon so whenever it's lunch time, I know to take my pill. I hope you find something that works.

It seems like you've tried just about everything. The thing with birth control is having it work for you. If you are not on birth control or don't try your best to make it work obviously you will get pregnant.
I think you should get on the pill--it's a just preference for you. You didn't state it making you uncomfortable, moody, bloated, or anything. The easy way to remember taking it everyday is to put it next to your tooth brush or in the bathroom--which is something you do everyday so you don't have to remember, it's just routine.
I know you are married but if you rule out all other forms of BC you can just be abstinent which I know you don't want but what do you want more: a baby or sex?
Natural Family planning works well also. You could give it a try and see how you like it--beware though. My friends mother just had another baby as the other five of her children were off to college.

Well, none of them are foolproof (aside from abstinance) but I'd still say the pill is the best. Set a timer somewhere to help you remember. Here at work, we have Outlook and I have it set up to send me a reminder to complete certain tasks every day that always seem to slip my mind. I can do this with my cell phone as well! If I put something on the calendar and set it to remind me daily, it rings every day at the same time. It's very helpful. Otherwise, I guess you'll just have to abstain. Or use condoms.

You have to take SOME responsibility. Figure out a good routine for taking your pill every day. Shots and implants have tested badly recently, I think. What things do you do every day at the same time without fail? Put your pill there. For example, if you always reach over to shut off the alarm clock at 6, have your pills there by the clock. If you always have coffee at the same time, put your pills there.

So you haven't tried the ring?? You should try it and go by what YOU think of it and not someone else. I'm on the ring and it has never slipped out once since I've started using it 4 months ago. I can't tell its in and I dont have to worry about it everyday.
Try it out and see if you like it. I would recommend it.

Abstenance is the most reliable form of contraception. The best would probably be the pill and condoms if you insist on this behaviour. Learn to take the pill or you get a baby!
