It might depend on what you did the day before. Did you carry heavy bags such as groceries, carry a baby around, use heavy tools or any repetitive motion as in exercise or extended computer use, or even carry a heavy purse on the forearm?
Any of these can cause the Brachialis muscle to flare up. It is an upper arm muscle that lies under the biceps, covering the front and lower half of the humerus (upper arm area) and (when over used) can cause pain that is felt in the shoulder, elbow and hand.
Massage and heat should help alleviate the pain. If it continues for more than a few days, I would see your doctor.

You could have slept on it wrong, maybe cut off circulation and that's what's making the arm hurt. Or you could have strained it somehow during the day yesterday. Did you do anything out of the norm or anything that put your arm in an uncomfortable position? Anything like that could have done it.
More likely, its what you think- you just slept on it wrong and its still a little sore from that.

Maybe you worked your arm the day before? Chores or etc. And perhaps you just slept on it wrong. Maybe take a pain aid, like Motrin. (ask your parents if you are under 18). If it continues, you should probably have it checked.

sounds like you slept on it and pinched a nerve. just massage it or let the hot water in the shower run on it...it should feel better. if it is an ache that travels up and down your arm, it could be angina, a heart condition. See a doctor if the pain persists...

It sounds like you slept on your shoulder wrong; rub yourself down with ben-gay or some other sports creme for soreness and this should give you relief.

It can also be tendinitis. In such case your doctor will give you anti inflammatory drugs.
Usually we feel more pain in the morning.
