by the time the magi found him, he was at home, no longer in the stable. The ephiphany (day the wisemen found him) is celebrated a month after christmas.
Matthew 2:11. And entering into the house, they found the child with Mary his mother, and falling down they adored him: and opening their treasures, they offered him gifts; gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

Since it was up to 2 years after His birth I would say He was in their house, no longer in the manger where he was born.
When they saw the star they were in far off lands, and then they stopped to see Herod, then they walked to Bethlehem, that took a long time back then, they did not have cars or anything like that.
Do you really think they stayed in the manger for up to 2 years?

16 And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.

He was in Bethlehem, read Matthew Chapter 2 verses 1 - 16.

in a house, because it took the wisemen forever to get to him and by the time they did, he was about 2 years old. as with the city he was in, i'm guessing the one he was born in, but then joseph had a dream and they had to flee to egypt.

with Mary and Joseph in their home. after they received word of the Birth of Jesus the Wise men had to make the journey to where HE was. the Wise men contrary to popular belief were not at the stable where JESUS was actually born.

jesus was born in bethlehem of judea,wrapped up in swaddling cloths,lying in a manger,when the wise men from the east saw the star !!!!!!!!!!1

No, he wasn't in the manger. No one is exactly sure where he was, but he was already about a year old when they came to visit him.

He was still in the lowly cattle shed in Bethlehem where He was born, as the Shepherds in the fields also visited Him.

Directed by the holy spirit they found Jesus in a house and saw him with his mother they knelt before him and presented their gifts to him to add on that they bowed down to him in egypt matthew..........................matthew 2:9-12
