I believe that every Christian has felt that way at one point in their life. The fact is, if we really knew what heaven is like, we would be begging God to take our lives so that we would be able to go to there. Enjoy your life here on earth, but remember that there is a place prepared for Christians that our minds cannot comprehend.

Your putting your needs above God's needs and will for you is wrong. God first always. If you do not want to be raptured just because you what to live and have a family, you really need to ask yourself if you infact really did accept Jesus as your savior, or just claimed that you did.
Once a person accepts Jesus as their savior, your give up your own needs, desires, lifestyle in exchange for God's, for Jesus. When you do that, the Lord takes control of your life, and will lead you accortding to His will. Many people that are Christians get married and have families. Becoming a Chistian does not keep you from having that. But to reject being taking up in the rapture because you don't feel that you have fulfilled your life according to you, is a grave mistake.
1 Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
Luke 14:26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.
God's defination of hate in reguards to this scripture-From a primary word μιÍÏÎ¿Ï misos (hatred); by extension to love less: - hate (-ful).
You are not to hate your family, but you are not to love your family more than you do God. IF you cannot put God first in all aspects of your life, before you spouce, children, friends, family, etc, you have not accept Jesus as your savior, and cannot be a Christian.

Being a christian won't make heaven hurry up. If you become a christian that would be because you are a smart person who wish to skip hell!! but whether you are or not. Jesus Christ our God will come back at his time. When ? That we don't know.

I do not think it it wrong for you to have these feelings. I am pretty sure that no one want the rapture to come on because like you, they want to live life. I think if the rapture comes, then re-examine your life and thank God for giving that much time on the earth.

Don't worry about the rapture. It won't happen. There are no gods. Concentrate on living your life to the fullest. If you concentrate on when you're dead, you'll waste your life. Go for the family if you want one.
Religion causes so much needless worry. Life is too short to obsess over superstitions.

After the tribulation and the final wrath, there will be the 1,000 year reign of Christ, during which time we'll live longer, but the point here is that we will still be here, getting married, having children, and not have to worry about bad guys messing things up all the time. So even if the tribulation started tomorrow, you could still do the things you want to do, if you survive the tribulation part of course.

suggest you live one day at a time. you have an agenda here on this plane of existence to perform. when your agenda is completed you will leave this plane and move on to another. none of us can know or see what GOD'S plan is so all we can do is the very best we can day after day.

'Course it's not wrong! Who wants to die, anyway? Even Jesus was pretty nervous about being crucified, and he had his whole lifetime (33 years) to prepare for it!

Most educated Christians do NOT believe in end times, they are over represented in the USA and on these boards. It is possible to be both sane and a Christian.
