To lose 1lb in weight you have to use up around 3500 calories...so about 8 hours might do it :D

Everyone is different but 3500 calories burned aerobically = a pound of fat stored. Depending on your bodies metabolic rate you may burn that faster or slower than others. If you are just starting an exercise routine it will take longer for you to notice the weight change because you will be replacing the weight lost in fat with muscle which weighs more. This is why you shouldn't go with weight as a measure of how successful a program is. On average, a healthy loss is no more that 2-3 pounds/week. Any more and you can throw your body into a state of shock. Also, keep feeding the body. If you reduce you caloric intake and increase you exercising (increasing you bodies need for fuel) you will actually put your body into starvation mode where it will hoard energy from your muscles and save the fat to preserve your major organs. Eat well, exercise regularly each week (minimum 3 - 30 minute aerobic/cardio session) and you should see the first pound in a week or so.

i am not sure about how long, but if your treadmill counts calories, then you need to burn 3500 to lose a pound-this will take you more than 3 hours-probably all day. besides, losing a pound a day this way is very bad for you, and wastes your entire day away. if you burn 500 cals per day and eat healthily throughout the week, you will lose a pound because 7 times 500 is 3500 cals. a pound or two a week is much healthier for you than one a day-one a day could kill you! a pound a day is nearly impossible unless you have that much time-and energy!

well it is depending in your wieght and your BMI and most of that your
(fat buning zone) What is that? it is the heart rate that if you keep you heart rate on this number you will start to use fat for energy instead of sugar How to calculate your fat burning Zone Ok simple Equasion 65%(220-your age)
220-your age will give you your maximum heart rate and you have to have 65%of that and when you know the number you have to work out on a cardio machine and keep your heart beats around this number and you have to workout more than 15 min cuz the fat burning occur in the body after 15 min of fat burning program so i think for a bound you need to wrkout for about 2 Hrs walkig and 3 hours jogging and finally 2 Hrs Running which am sure that you cant do it on aday so 45-60 Min a day four times a week and you will lose3-4 bounds a week
hope that helped
cheers

That will depend a little on your weight, your body composition, and a little on the speed you go at, I don't know what it would be for you but for me it would take 7 hours to lose a pound of fat. I'd lose more for sure if I went that long, but it would be a lot of sweat.

Wow, depends on your weight when you start and how fast you have the treadmill set and how long you can last.

Here is a chart you can use to figure calories expended just use the pull down menu on the left.
