I am looking for a midsized SUV with "good" gas mileage, superior safety testing, with a sleak look. I have been looking at primarily foreign cars. Any thoughts??

The Lexus RX series is great. You might check out the Kia Sorento. Good price, great warranty. Looks good.

Subaru Forester - tops on safety, reliability, dependability, handling and good on gas. I've seen these cars with about 400,000 miles on them. Keep it maintained and it will last awhile.
Toyota Highlander Hybrid for those that want the above and be environmentally friendly.

Subarus are nice, but you may want to consider a hybrid by Ford (Escape) or Toyota (Highlander).
