There are plenty of good choices for high quality food. Start researching at www.dogfoodproject.com I like Eagle Pack food, personally, but like I said, there are plenty of good foods out there.

As far as her always being hungry, as long as is at a healthy weight, not chubby and not skinny, she is fine. The recommendations for feeding on the bag are just that, a recommendation. If she is very active, she may need a little more, if she's lazy, a little less. Our oldest gets 1 cup less than recommended because he doesn't move all day unless we make him, and the youngest two get an extra half a cup, because they are constantly on the go and need the nutrition to maintain their figure.

As long as her weight is good - don't worry about her acting hungry - I have Dobermans and they will eat constantly if I let them. Yes - they act as if they ar starving! But labs can get overweight fast so be careful. Judge by how she looks, not by how much she pleads!
Pick a food with meat as the main ingredient, low content of grains, and little or no preservatives, those are the best.

It isn't so much what brand of food you use as it is how much. Labs are notorious over eaters. They will become fat and should never be allowed to self feed. You should take the dog to the vet and have her checked for parasites. Ask the vet how much food you should supply the dog depending on its activity level. Stick to that with the occasional "just because I love you treat"and your dog will be fine. Overweight dogs are prone to sickness and joint problems.

I feed my GSD and choc lab Nutro large breed. there are a lot of good quality foods on the market. when you go to buy dog food always look at the ingredients...the first ingredient should be meat, not meat byproducts...that is always the best indicator of quality food.
you haven't stated how often you feed your dog? we have always fed ours twice a day...once in the morning of 2 cups and once in the evening of 2 cups..

Labs tend to always seem hungry.

Make sure you are feeding a good quality food without excess grains. Ideally, stay away from foods loaded with corn, wheat and soy.

Our vet highly recommended Innova. It's a premium dog food, with a price tag to match, but it's a really good dog food without all the fillers you see in some other brands.

I have a yellow lab and she is about 1.5 years old. We feed her Pedigree but no matter what you feed them they will keep eating. We feed her about 1 cup at lunch and about 1.5-2 cups at supper time.... if we gave her more she would probably eat more. There are feeding amounts given on the side of the Pedigree bag based on the size of dog.

31 months? Try 2 1/2 years old. My favorite dog food is IAMS and it's readily available at most grocery stores.

She could have worms, but I highly reccomend, Nutro Choice, high in protien and natural ingredients. less waste because low in fatty substances. Also if your dog has frequent bowl movements or alot at one time, most likely the food you are giving her is not good.
