I run every morning-except for Sundays for 30-60 mins and I was just wondering if walking was a good way to condition for running?

Well, if you are training, you should walk a few days and run a few days. It is good to eat healthy, stretch, and run every day to keep it a good habit, too. You should also control not running so fast at the beginning, and save up energy. But, yes practice walking and running every day.

I've read before somewhere that if you can walk as fast as a slow jog it's actually better for you. Another great way to train is to do intervals - walk a minute, run a minute, walk a minute, run a minute - of whatever intervals you want, you could even run two minutes and just walk one minute. Intervals are great because to really get the heart pumping and the constant increasing and decreasing of the heart will really help you condition.
