I agree that Limewire is finished of viruses, besides the undeniable fact that that is totally problematical for a virus to make itself not conceivable to delete. far extra likely is that you're immediately away sharing the document decrease back to Limewire and individuals are presently downloading it out of your laptop. completely close Limewire and then attempt again. Or give up sharing in Limewire and then delete the document.

Shut down limewire.

You need to use windows explorer( windows key and the letter "E" at the same time). Browse to the "Incomplete" folder and delete any matching preview file for the AVI you are talking about. Then go to your download folder(You chose this when you installed limewire).
Delete the ***.avi file.

Back to the incomplete folder and delete both ***.Dat files. They will be recreated when limewire restarts next time.

if you cant just delete it. Restart in safe mode (F8 during boot up)

you can go through and delete it like that. It will stop whatever application is using it.

or try pressing CTRL + ALT + DELETE at the same time and look at the running process's see if you have something you think might be using it (Like a media player)

This happened to me once. I think I had to restart in Safe Mode and then I was able to delete it. If that doesn't work then write down the path and restart in DOS or command prompt only and you definately will be able to delete it.
