Well, when a christian does something wrong, it is not his fault because the devil told him to do so, he was just weak and couldn`t resist the devils`s temptation.

When a muslim does something wrong, it`s not his fault, he was just weak and he couldn`t stand the temptation of life...

When a buddhist(or others) does something wrong, it`s not his fault, it is just...karma.

when an atheist does something wrong, it`s not his fault, it`s his fellow human`s fault..

Why do we keep searching for excuses? Can`t we just assume the responsability for our actions?

steph w, haven`t you blamed somedody else in your life just to get your *** (excuse my french) out of some problem? it`s an act of hypocrisy to say that you`ve assumed the responsability for every single thing in your life...

If we assume responsibility for our own actions then the place will be perfect and that is not supposed to happen.
I always say that the devil is more popular God because when we do wrong things as you said we blame him but we never blame God for making us do good things. That is the only time we did something because we felt it was right. Not because we had received divine intervention from God and felt that we were doing his will. My way of life does not allow for me to blame any devil for my actions. When i do something i know sometimes i come down really hard on myself and i just remain beating me up. But there are other times when i feel i have done something wrong, as long as i can justify my actions and get a positive outcome then i am fine.
If one in every 10 persons took responsibility for there own actions then we would have a near perfect world.

First off there is only one God so the muslim and buddhist doesn't matter. When a Christian does wrong he prays for forgiveness. That is a true Christian. For a true Christian knows that he has a choice. Events may put a Christian to task, but if he fails it is because his faith was not strong enough. Yes it is his fault. His faith faltered. And because we are weak we ask for forgiveness. All children fall when they are young. We ask our Father to help us up. By giving us his hand and asking for forgiveness, we hope that he will understand that we make mistakes. This does not exempted us from his judgment. All Christian must stand before the Lord and be judged by their deeds. God can forgive us for our transgressions, but we as Christian must try to live as our name sake (Christians)(Christ like). Hopefully you understand. And God bless you.

I am a christian. but If I do something wrong I surely dont blame the devil. I just admit my fault, ask for forgiveness to God and whoever else I hurt and try to never do that again.

I am a Christian and i am responsible for all of my actions and the reactions that happen as a direct result of my actions. Just because i am a Christian doesn not mean i am not responsible. We can resist satan's pull if we really want to and if we rely on Jesus. The thing we Christians have that others do not have is that God forgives our sin.

Well if we obeyed by those we would probably be stealing, drinking etc blaming it on Satan all the time. I don't find excuses for people for doing it because its their choice to make, you control you're future. Blaming is not the answer in any case, you should learn from it and move on and realise YOU made the mistake, nobody else.

wow didnt see your question, i guess it each person. When i do make a mistake i dont blame others or God...i use to. But i realized sometimes bad things happen by our choices and good can come out of it. a nd sometimes bad things just happen. but when they do i have someone to turn to for comfort, just like a mother or father, they didnt create the bad thing but they are there to say its gonna be okay. if people actually thought before acting less "problems" would occur, but they are hasty and want what they want when they want it. i believe people not following the golden rule is one result of bad happenings, if we did treat others the way we would want to be treated then there would be less pain. if we werent so selfish.

As an Atheist, I disagree with your assumption of blame. If I do something wrong, I admit it. I do not look for fault. You need to get your facts straight before placing blame.

You call it excuse's, I call it a reason. Cause and Effect.
Some people; make that, (many people) just lack the discipline to stay on track or find out what is right and then do right.
In a word....... it's called "Laziness"! To lazy to care and to lazy to want to know how. Poor quality people is a sad thing!

When a Buddhist does something wrong it's his fault and nothing to do with karma-if you want to have a dig at least try and be factual.

you did write a long and confused article, and although I think it's a bad excuse to get 2 points, here is 2, just don't do it again.
actually we make excuses because our parents forced us to learn to do so, since they used to tell us "what's your excuse for doing this or that" meaning if you don't give some acceptable reason for the mess you made, you'll get spanked.
