I had a really bad burn in 2003, and the scar is still a purplish color. Burn scars are the worst and take a long time to heal. Silvadean (sp?) is really good, but it is super expensive. Another thing for bad scars is just to keep it out of the sun and elements. During the summer, be sure to put lots of sun screen on it. This is for a bad burn...I don't know how yours is.

There are a couple of scar reducing creams out on the market you can try. I've also heard applying vitamin E oil directly on the scar helps reduce the appearance.

Get MEDERMA SCAR OINTMENT!!! Best stuff on the market. I burn myself cooking all the time and that stuff is a lifesaver! It clears up scars on any part of your body very well! You just have to be diligent and continue to put it on everyday until the scar is gone!

My friend had a burn and was told to rub pure olive oil on it, its keeps it subtle and stopped it itching so bad and helped smooth it (but just a little smoother, it won't flatten any bumps ) x you may wanna check with a medical person first x

Melalueca oil works really well, along with applications of coco or shea butter.
