the past couple days she has been licking the bottoms of her feet , so I took a look and inbetween her pads is quite red and almost looks like dry red irratated skin, is this normal . or should I get it looked at? The reason I havent is because she is always diggiong and scratching at her self, I have taken her twice to the vet, first for her ears and now there good and then for fleas and now this, are some dogs just pron to digginf at themselves or what.
ps she is 6 and I have only had her for 2 months

It does sound like an allergy, but it could be that she stepped in something that irritated her or it could be really dry skin. Possibly also a fungus, like athlete's foot (dogs can get something similar to it). Probably best to check with her vet.

Very possibly an allergic reaction to the fleas. Once I get rid of fleas on the fosters I often get them a cortisone shot to help with healing the bites. A dog can scratch at the bites for a few weeks. Also Frontline doesn't kill the flea till it bites them.

It is very possibly a food allergy. You might try to figure out which ingredient is giving her the reaction and eliminate it from her diet. More than likely if it is allergies, it will be corn or grains. Try a higher quality food like Eagle Pack with fish and sweet potatoes. It could be a nervous habit.
