bureaucratic monster IMMIGRATION
As I have mentioned many times before. ICE.... INS.... whatever they call themselves these days needs to be completely torn down and edified with specific departments with specific job details... They must be held accountable for their work ethics. You for example as a law abiding citizen (hopefully) do not have racist reasons for reporting someone does not even know who to report them too.... This bureaucratic monster of a department does not serve the Public in its work... nor does it serve its purpose in granting work permits for those who have applied.... what good are they? They have the attitude that I will get to them when I get to them not just to the people who they are supposed to serve .... But to the USA citizen who in essence supplies them with that paycheck that they do not earn..... Heads up...... Rebuild this monster of a department while building this wall across the border.

No...don't report them unless they did something wrong like stealing/drugs etc. If they have a decent job, and they're not hurting someone...just let them be!
Also...how sure are you that they are illegal??? I have a friend who is 100% legal...she came in w/ a valid entry visa...never broke the law (not even a parking ticket!)...and never over-stayed her visa terms, and finally applied for a green card. Literally 1 week after she applied someone called INS and reported her as illegal (which wasn't true)...this happened 2 years ago...she is still busy w/ court battles to prove that she has never been illegal. The systems are sooo backed up, that this will likely take another 2 years...and 1000's of dollars.
And besides...even if you do report this person...he/she will still be able to stay in the country for at least another 2 years since the courts are so backed up, he/she won't get a deportation hearing for a long long time.

I think that depends on your morals -
If you believe that illegal immigration is wrong, it would be hypocritical not to report them, but if you don't believe that, then you'd feel guilty if you did report them.
I say go by what *you* want to do - your gut feeling. Don't let other peoples political views force you into making a decision you're not comfortable with.

You know the vast majority of illegal immigrants are not bad people, just down and almost out from a very tough life. In many cases they are in the U.S.working to support their families. Many are encouraged to stay by their employers who get labour cheap this way. Wouldn't you find it a bit difficult to make life even harder for such? It's about the golden rule.

Of course it is bad not to report them. Would you not report a murder if you so one????
They are called illegal immigrants for one reason because they are ILLEGALLY here in our country. If they want to be here fine - but they need to go about it the right way and get the proper permissions or paperwork.
You are essentially aiding this felon in their illegal actions and could possibly be charged as such.
Do your do diligence and report them!! You owe it to your country and fellow Americans!

Is it illegal to witness a murder and not report it. It is illegal to hit a car and then run. Of course, you have a moral obligation as a citizen of your country to report this person.

You know, it usually depends on the life he/she has had before. But you can help him/her become a LEGAL immigrant. Worth the try, I suppose. Take care.

It's not wrong to know one no, If you ever know of a lot of them staying in a house or you know of a smuggling ring then you should call INS

yes you need to help our country by telling on them. We are trying to get it cleaned up so the people here that are legal can stay and not take over. I know several people in your shoes but they felt like it was their duty to this country to help stop the problem.
