If you like one person, why are you out kissing other people??
If it were me in this guys position, I would still be a friend to you, but watching you kiss another guy would really hurt me (if i had liked you), and I would then decide that no matter what, I wouldn't be involved with you...
even with that, i'd still want some time with not talking to you to get over it...

you were not going out with him at the time so making up is not really needed --- so he needs to accept that these things happen and that you want to be with him not some other person
as well his nose is out of joint and he would not feel like that if he did not like you in that way as well
