You need a car that is cheaper to insure and give good gas mileage. I would suggest a small, reliable 4 cylinder car such as a Honda, Toyota, Mazda etc.

A full size car. Something to keep you safe when you have your first accident. After that scale down to a mid size, something that gets better mileage, Like a Honda.
