to give others for Christmas this year ?

How about something really inspirational for each person ?
Whether it be a religious item or not, how about trying to think of something that will have a LASTING IMPACT for the person receiving that gift ?

I always like to give to the Angel Tree organizations (the ones that you pick a particular child's ornament and buy Christmas presents for them by a list of things that they need and ask for.) Sometimes it is a sad time for these children and if I can make their Christmas be filled with love, that is the only present I ever need.
I think that by doing this it willl have a lasting impact on them that shows them they are loved.

this is what I'm doing as a matter of fact. However, what I am giving may seem " silly " to many. am giving a stone with a cross carved on it along with a rabbit foot key chain and an Angel ornament for hanging on the Christmas tree, rear view mirror or elsewhere. needless to say that my " someone special " will get a little more as will a 7 year old little sweetheart.

I'm doing the christmas giving tree this year (angel tree at my mall, but I've heard it called different things). I'm giving toys and clothes to kids who don't have enough. Since I don't know the religious affiliation of the kids recieving the gifts, I can't put anything religious in there.

Normal material things for my family, though.

We give gifts to charities in the name of others. E.g. one year I gave a gift to the local human society in my daughter's name, to the Young Communist League in my son's name and to the ACLU in my wife's name. All were pleased.
