Draft is a dirty word the liberals like to float and try to get their way. You see, after watching the hearings, all I can say is that if the democrats push and get us pulling out without full completion, then we better be ready for the payback. they like to blame all the insurgent and infighting on our actions and by being there.
They only think of pull out, cut and run and if we do that, we will, within about a year or less, begin to have attacks on our streets, and of course, that gives the liberals ammunition to say " Bush did it", when it was their policy all along.
We cant let Congress or opinion polls run the war on terror like we did Viet Nam. Over 54000 people died cause we had on and off bombing of the north, and a bunch of fat head politicians trying to run the show from DC.
Every war we have ever fought, has left troops in a foreign country. Germany, France, Italy, Turkey, Korea and Japan, so why not Iraq as a normal tour of duty??
But before we do anything, lets give the military and the people there a fighting chance to be democratic and have freedoms like we enjoy. We already got rid of the dictator and killer they had running the show.
Give the leaders the tools, get in there, do the job, then get out.

There isn't one single politician out there in the world that even remotely cares about the public and what is good for the country. They care about themselves and votes, period. They say whatever the almighty dollar wants them to say, and do whatever the almighty dollar tells them to.
P!ss on Iraq, and the rest of the Middle East. This was nothing more than a ploy to get rich by a few hillbillies and bureaucrats.
The sad part isn't the Iraqi animals that died,it's the fact that soldiers from all over the world have perished for the gain of a few supposed world leaders and the oil czars.

Obamunist does not like the military, McChrystal has both training and experience on how the military should operate. Then along comes the incompetent, empty suit, US hating clown, who has his own agenda for the country and the world. The good General has a hard time accepting the ineptness of his supposed Commander in Chief. Help him out and vote conservative in Nov.

Headed for a draft? Only if you are referring to a flow of hot air.
There is no way anyone in the military wants to go back to having a draft. It will happen ONLY if there is a dire emergency and liberals won't like it when it happens.
I doubt there is a conservative that even considers the possibility of a military draft. The is strictly a liberal idea. Even if you do have a draft (not very likely) it takes at least 18 months before you have someone sufficiently trained to be effective. That is unless you are just looking for cannon fodder like LBJ was during Nam.

its pretty obvious that the way the troops are trained, they dont need more, just different training to do a different job. The flipflopping is because they dont want to be the ones to say that we are gonna be there a long long time the way things are going, and they are too lazy and scared of losing the next election to do anything about it.

I didn't get to watch a lot of it, but I can tell you, I'd rather have a "cut and run" than a draft.
Although, the Democrats aren't touting a "let's leave immediately" strategy.
