I want to know how to spike better. I mean I can hit the ball pretty hard but it tends to go out of bounds. I just want some pointers on how to get it down inside the boundaries.

If you don't have a problem getting up at the net and actually hitting the ball then its your wrist that's the problem. When you make contact with the ball snap your wrist to send the ball downward. If you have a hard time doing this then you might need to work on your approach to get higher so you can hit more on top of the ball.

You need to jump higher so that u clear the net by more and can look down onto the area inside the boundaries. If you are hitting it out of bounds you are hitting it too straight and parallel to the floor

I used to have that problem..You should try doing a lot of leg excersises in order to increase your vertical (jump) and practice your approach so you are in the air at the right moment. Make sure your arm is fully extended because if you crunch your arm up and hit, the ball is more likely to go out. Pretend like you are shooting a bow and arrow in the air and then fully extend your arm and SWING THROUGH! Don't stop your arm after you hit the ball. You also need to snap your wrist at the top of the ball. Get a good arm swing before you go up to hit to get the highest jump possible...Good luck!

like all the other responses, snap ur wrist. also when u go up to hit the ball, pretend like u are shooting a bow and arrow. if u r right handed, ur left arm will "hold" the bow, and ur right will pull it straight back. in other words dont swing ur hitting arm from ur waist. u want to start ur swing from the shoulder. this is how i learned and it helps alot.
Another thing that helps ALOT is, when u start the approach, start from the 10ft line. jump at the net. Alot of people jump straight up. U want to jump at the net so ur momentum is carrying u into the ball, which in turns gives u more power.

If its going out of bounds it means your not snapping your wrist. In order to do that you need to jump higher. Work on your approach and jumping and you'll be able to get on top of the ball so it would go straight down in bounds. Good luck!

Watch where the ball hits you arm when you hit it out of bounds. Aim your arm towards where you want to hit it, so you can gain better control of the ball. Jumping higher wouldn't hurt either.

obviously the higher you jump the easier to hit better angles,
if you need quick results, work on your grip strength,
grip strengthener or a blue handball just squeeze it for high reps,

that will help you snap the ball down,

"it's all in the wrist"

okay make sure you are 'on top' of the balll hitting down ward. and snap your wrist as you hit the ball so it gets spin and goes down into the court. good luck!!!

just work on your vertical, the higher you jump, the more you can control your spike. airtime will make you see where blocks are and open spot to spike too.
