My 2 year old daughter has always done things earlier then usually, she started walking at 10 months old, had been talking since she was 1, and she talks full sentences, knows her #'s, abc's, and colors...i think she is fully ready to potty train she has been peeing in the potty for quite sometime now, even has big girl panties to wear during the day...only problem is she won't poop in the potty, she has only did it once and that was the other night after she pooped in her diaper and wasn't done so i ran her into the potty...Please any advice on how to get her to poop in the potty everyday???

This is pretty common. Just keep encouraging her and be consistant. If you make the change to panties stay there even through the accidents. What for clues of needing to go and offer going regularly. Praise Praise Praise and make everyone in her world (dad grandparents aunts uncles) excited as well. Never make using the potty a negative issue. Also don't clean her like a baby anymore. If she has an accident if at possible place her in the tub run som water and have her help clean herself up. It will be a pain but making her responsible for herself with your help will let her know you think she is a big girl. Good Luck and stay patient.

I know some same girls are easier but I'm not sure. My son was potty trained in a week, poop and pee. My daughter took about nine months to get her fully trained. She had no problem peeing in the potty but couldn't (or wouldn't) get the pooping down. It was awful. She was just over three before she we could finally says she was fully potty trained. I don't remember what actually worked, we tried everything. We tried poopy candy, not eating breakfast till she sat on the potty for a while, put the potty chair in the living room where it was accessible, sang the potty song, did the potty dance. I'm telling ya, we did everything. But rest assured, I've never seen a child in kindergarten with a diaper on so she will do it at her own time.

Raisins........or grapes. They help get stuff moving in the body I was able to bribe my son with them and i would just look at his pre pooping pattern and sit him on the potty and while there I'd read to him usually a potty book that kinda lived in the cabinet right outside the restroom, let her go and pick out a new pack of big girl panties and tell her she has to not poop on the ones she has already so she can wear those and keep them nice and pretty. I did that with scooby doo undies. try it. and make a good potty song, I transformed blues clues into a potty song, The things potty training will have you doing. Good Luck, and let the child that lives inside you help to guide you.

My oldest was the same way, spoke, walked, even read early but it took 6 months after she was potty trained to poop on the potty. Her Dr. said it was a pretty common thing so I would say just be patient and things will work out just fine. My daughter wore big girl panties and would tell us she had to poop and we would put her in a pullup, once she was done she got changed and life went on. This is no big deal, enjoy her and she will let you know when she is ready.

I think girls are alot easy than a boy to train I have both! Have you tried the potty dance with her. Girls usually like the attention that they get so when she poops in the potty after do a little potty dance it worked wonders here!

Well, you just have to tell her to poop in the potty.Once you have train her using the potty, never use diapers on her again accept during bedtime.Or maybe if you see sign that she wants to poo, direct her to the potty fast. This need time and effort but you'll see her progress in no time.Good luck!

whatch the child for signs of pre-pooping, then place the child on the potty and stay with her/him and encourage that it is good to do it potty pooping because poop is like the Mr. Yuck that our bodies do and it should be done for to keep self and others from getting sick, then good hygiene

my little girl is exactly the same. you just have to talk to her, and pay a lot of attention. i have recognized when she needs to go #2, and ask her if she needs to go potty, and she says yes, so i take her to the bathroom. she always tells me when she has to pee, but not #2

All my kids had this same problem! Keep encouraging her and hey, a little bribery doesn't hurt either! Try giving her something she really likes but doesn't get a lot of (my mom used jellybeans) and give it to her when she poops!

Talk about it and keep the same training routine everyday. She'll get it eventually. Reward her with praise when she finally does. Just don't push it too fast.
