i would rather have the baby aborted because the baby will not have a full life because of the abnormality.

This is a question that to me has lots of variables. Percentage of possibility that the abnormality will be minor is the biggest one. The more severe the abnomality and the higher the possiblity the more I would consider terminating.
I am sure you will get many answers from 'Pro-Lifers' who say never terminate regardless, but I have to disagree. One has to consider the quality of life that is ahead if there are abnormalities that will create a life of pain, suffering and/or a short lifespan. To not do so and bring into this world a life to be filled with pain and suffering, to me, is more heartless than terminating a pregnancy.
This is a difficult decision that only the mother and father can make. They should make this decision indepently and take all things into consideration.
Good luck and I hope this helps.

FIrst, what if the amnio turns out wrong?
I would not abort the baby as a personal decision, but I would never judge another for making a different choice. My reasoning is that if I aborted the baby, I would never be able to see him, hold him, love him, even for just a small amount of time. Plus, if the baby were able to make a decision on his own, I'm sure he would at least like to be given a chance to live.
I could never live with myself knowing that I killed my unborn baby, for whatever reason!!

First thing,i don't really know what is amniocentesis but i don't want to put all trust on the doc.I heard few stories bout pregnant ladies that been told by their doc that their baby have problems. These woman choose to keep their babies and it turn out that their babies are well and healthy.Pray for miracle cos it happen, and whatever that comes is from god,When he gave it to you,he will always help you with it.

Thats a personal decision that only the couple can judge. I would accept the situation, love the baby and do all that was medically possible to keep it living a healthy and as happy of a life as possible. If it came a time that its little life wasnt going to be able to be saved then I would treasure the time we had and let the child go on to heaven.

children that ave very sick with big time abnormalities, suffer!
children with mild mental issues for the most part smile, enjoy life, give a lot of love and never know any better or worse. i would have more test done so that i could make the best choice for me and my family. if my future was going to be full of pain, doctors, my child being used as a guinni pig then i would get out of it, i would. not only for me but for my family and our future.

Yes i would accept the situation because #1 I do not believe in abortions at all/It would be very ahrd to accept-very sad-but I know that it is still my child that I have carried and love. The poor baby did nothing wrong and still needs someone to love it un-conditionally no matter how it looks or what is wrong with it!

I would keep the baby. Because for me, all my babies will be perfect no matter what. A lot of people in this world live with disabilities. They can overcome them and go on to do great things. Why would I take that chance away?

Yes, i will accept the baby,if it is first baby. If you abort first baby, then it is very difficult to conceive again.
I came to know on the third month that my baby had heart problem and doctors adviced me to abort the baby. Me and my husband determined to have the baby. Our medical science is too developed and anything can be rectified easily with medicine. SO think before you do anything.
