I emailed a guy I know and like, that I thought he was a heartbreaker.
He wrote back to me, "I do not know if I could break your heart, but I bet it would be a lot of fun trying."
What in the heck does that mean???

Forgot to add...after he wrote that it would be "a lot of fun trying to break my heart,"
He then wrote...."And I mean, a lot of fun."
The emails were flitatious, and in noway mean spritited.

In my opinion, he's merely saying that he likes you and would like to be with you.............he's not sure where it will lead but the time that you do spend together will be fun and precious.
No one can be sure if a relationship will ever work oout long-term and that is the beauty of it.
Don't read too much into it........he's basically saying that he hopes you end up falling for him, not that he's going to use you!

It means he's a jerk. Even if he was just kidding, it's pretty obvious he's not going to take you seriously. I dunno I guess a lot of it depends on what kind of guy he is. If he's really attractive and seems like he gets a lot of girls, I would steer clear of him becuase he obviously knows it. If he's a little more on the shy side, he probably didn't mean it the way it sounds.

It may mean he was being funny and wants to open up a friendship that could lead into a relationship. Or it could mean hes a player, which you should probably stay away from.

Heartbreaking cannot be fun in any way unless the guy his a player.i think its the high time u thought of someone else if u are in relationship with this guy coz you dont know what he is capable of doing.

Either he's trying to be witty & charming, or he is telling you up front (and how often does THAT happen?) that he only wants a physical relationship.
