You might think about trying this book called "The Movie Star Diet" by Steve Simmons. It helped me lose thirty pounds in 2 1/2 months when I didn't think anything would work. My goal to begin with was only 20 lbs! It has a really easy plan to follow and an excellent workout as well.

One thing I will suggest to you is to NOT skip meals. This lowers your metabolism so you'll be more prone to gaining weight the next time you eat a big meal. If you want to lose weight "fast", or have a quick fix, I would recommend trying one of those fad diets. However, if you want to lose weight and keep it off for the long term, I would recommend eating a sensible diet along with regular exercise. I try to incorporate 4 food groups in every meal. For example, for breakfast I will have a small bowl of cereal with milk, a piece of fruit and a glass of water or juice. These are all things your body can use for energy and it's a good way to get your metabolism started. Also, doing about 20 mins of exercise such as pilates or going on the exercise ball a few times a week is a good way to lose weight rather quickly.

Though there are a lot of techniques on quick loss of weight, I feel it should be a controlled process. What you lose very quickly could be gained again in a far lesser time. Exercise and the right diet are key to lose weight over a period of time. Diet doesn't really mean eating less or simply avoiding certain kind of food. It is eating the right food at the right time in the right quantity supported by a good exercie regimen.

Drink lots and lots of water, at least 8 glasses a day. It cleanses the body of all its toxins and makes your skin healthy too. If you drink soda a lot, lay off that and maybe drink some green tea. Green tea is really good for you too.

Try running, walking, or a combination of running and walking *at least* one mile a day. Aerobics exercise and cardiovascular exercise help a lot too. Also, you could try doing some martial arts. Depending on what parts of your body you want to lose weight from and tone up depends on which exercise you need to do, though.

Find out the maximum of how many calories your body needs a day and don't eat any more than that. You can go here http://www.scientificpsychic.com/fitness/diet.html to find out.

I would say the best way to lose weight would be not an expensive celebrity diet but an affordable diet that you wouldn't even have to exercise with. My wife and I lost over 20lbs in one month! I was so excited and knew this was meant for us and like I said we didn't exercise. It's called ShapeWorks and it includes nutritional skake mixes, dietary tablets, energy drinks, protein bars and alot of other things to get amazing results. It can be found on www.differentu.com God bless you and I wish you much success with your weight loss.

Eat very little and exercise a lot. Not very healthy though. The best way is balance, choosing a lifestyle you can live with forever. Eat healthy, drink lots of water, exercise regularly.
