Sure does........so it's NOT really vegetarian......oh, and by the way, the hoofs and horns from the cow go into making glue, the white kind like Elmer's.........the company Borden has been using Elsie the cow for years in their ads, and their subsidiary company, Elmer's uses Elmer the bull in their ads.......Interesting, huh??? And the cows give their milk, then their lives and we use all the "extra" parts in ways you wouldn't imagine.....

"Jell-O, like all gelatin products (including those made for photographic and laboratory use, as well as for desserts!) is made out of hides, bones, and inedible connecting tissue! Gelatin can be extracted from any kind of animal, but cows are most common. " - http://cascade.mit.edu/cookbook/jello/

Yes because that is otherwise just a flavored gelatin and gelatin comes from the hooves, hides, and bones of hooved animals, like cows, sheep, etc.

Gelatin is a byproduct of boiling animal bones, skin and tendons. Another non-animal alternative is called Agar-Agar which is derived from seaweed.
