Paper is the traditionaly gift for a first year anniversary. When my husband and I were married for a year he took one of our wedding photos down to someone who sketched it onto a piece of paper (black and white of course) and then he had it framed. It still hangs in our house. It was a creative way to give something that involved paper, and to keep it nice through out the years.

The 1st wedding anniversary is paper. How about a box of $20 bills.

My first anniversary is coming up in a few months. I've decided to get tickets to a concert (paper), a hotel room in the city of the concert (it's out of town), and take him out to dinner before the show. It's kind of a gift for both of us but I don't think he'll mind.

First anniversary is PAPER so.......
a photo album (there's paper in it)
a gift certificate (not the plastic kind --one written on paper)
a book to write anniversarys etc... in
a holiday --give them the travel brochure

Paper
I just had my first annivesary and I got my husband a journal. We had said that we were only going to spend $20 but he cheated and bought me a painting (on paper). You could also get plane tickets, a gift certificate, a book, lottery tickets, anything paper! Have fun!

THE FIRST ANNIVERSARY IS THE PAPER ANNIVERSARY! MY HUSBAND GOT ME A REALLY NICE SCRAPBOOK KIT TO DO OUR WEDDING PICTURES, I GOT HIM A GIFT CERTIFICATE TO HIS FAVORITE STORE! WE GAVE OUR FRIENDS & FAMILY GIFT CERTIIFICATE TO SPA AND THEIR FAVORITE STORES. I AM SURE WHAT EVER YOU PICK WILL BE NICE SINCE IT IS FROM THE HEART! GOOD LUCK!

Since paper is the first ann. gift.. i went and got pictures done and i am wrapping the pic up and putting it in a frame for my husband and i's first ann. :D

I'm getting my man tickets to see the Cubs cuz it's his favorite and he's never gotten to go.
