It all depends on what you like and when you can fit it into your schedule. During the weekdays, I go after work, so about 6 p.m. and on the weekends I go first thing in the morning. Some people say that if you work out in the morning before eating, you burn more stored fat this way, a theory that makes sense to me. But I have absolutely NO TIME with rush hour to go to the gym and make it to work on time in the a.m. Just do what feels right. And congrats on hitting the gym! :)

By exercising in the morning as soon as you get up, you lose 3 times more fat than at any time during the day. Exercising in the morning also increases the metabolic rate of the body through out the day. More information at http://www.toloseweight.org/exercisetolosefat.html

Morning is best. You may be less likely to go in the evening. Morning workouts are supposed to cause a great deal of energy throughout the day .
Good luck to you.

it might benefit u more to go in the morning. it will give u lots of energy for the work day. if u go after work u may be too tired to work out and if u do work out, u will probably be up all night.

For weight lost, in the morning before you eat, for muscles at night then you have enough protein est. to build muscles. To get fit, anytime.

It is really a personal choice. Every person's body is different. Clinical studies done on men have shown that they have better strength and endurance in the late afternoon. Try different times and see which you like best.

Morning before you eat because this forces your body to burn fat because you haven't eaten anything in the evening-or at least you shouldn't be snacking after seven. Got to go running, later!
