There is the saying that infatuation is different from love i would therefore like to know what makes it different from love

infatuation is not based on anything real and only on the surface. Love is an aquired taste.

Usually one who is infatuated with someone is unable to have them and so that would mean that they are probably in love AT the person rather than in love WITH them.

there is a lot of difference between the two....
when u see a beautiful female and u become so desperate about her .... but u can still live without her.... that is infatuation....
love is mothers love there is no parallel to it

Infactuation simple means loving someone without a reason i.e unreasoning love it's most common among men they only say i love u all because they wants to have sex with u but love is real and true feeling of likeness, warm liking or affection for someone and not lust.Thanks that's my answer to ur question.

love is in the core of your being,infatuation is in your thoughts and feelings.you can have both i do Ive been with my man for 8 years we have fallen in love all over again i love hI'm with every thing that i have and im still infatuated with him more today then i have ever been. i hope this helps
