The basics love, food, shelter, little savings, simple wedding. Too many simple things in life they're not extravagant but simple.

Examples of simple things I like in life: a baby`s smile, rain, the smell of autumn leaves, a hug from a loved one, a nice cup of coffee....

Well since the death of Steve Irwin and the sad feelings I felt for his wife and 2 kids, I really appreciate good health, happy moments with my family, little moments of satisfaction like getting a distinction on my college modules and getting a job, taking a road trip with friends, having a night out with my husband for a meal and live music. Those satisfying moments that mean a lot.

I'll tell you what it means to me, as I am that way, I believe. I don't need fancy expensive clothes or piles of them; fancy cars; a huge fancy house. If I was single (which I'm not), you don't have to spend lots of money on me to impress me.
I like material things, but I know people that must amass them. I'm happy with family around me, someone to love who loves me back, my kids, and my health, a roof over our heads, and the ability to lead a decent life -- morally and financially.
Would I like more? Sometimes. Wish I had more $$ to travel.

That usually means that material things such as nice cars don't necessarily make them happy or having Dolce and Gabbana instead of regular jeans, so they are happy just have family around and enjoying nice restuarants nothing too fussy. That is what I think it means anyway.
