He's 20yo and he's only 5ft1. He's too intimidated to approach anyone because of his size and he's also very sensitive about the subject. Does anybody have any advice i could give him. (don't be mean)

tell him to look at Tom Cruise, his girls tower over him! Mel Gibson is short and he is very very sexy. He is not too short to have a girlfriend, he needs to try and build his confidence. there are short girls out there too, i am 5ft 2. Best of Luck

I cannot deny that being 5'1" tall would put some people off. However, he should try and maximise all his other attributes of which I am sure he has many. I have found that what some people lack in stature they make up for twice over in personality. There are clothes which make people look taller - vertical stripes for instance but hmmm. I would say make the best of himself, get a great haircut, some cool clothes, make sure he always smells nice - most girls would rather have that than a tall neanderthal!

He can get platform shoes, that are not so obvious on the outside and he should see it like this - Tom Cruise is currently dating yet another Hollywood babe and Simon Cowell wears platforms and he gets the ladies! He can also get some confidence, there are plenty of self help books out there! And I am sure he would look a lot sexier if he was more confident! Hope he cheers up soon. x

SIZE DOESN'T MATTER!! It's his attitude that's preventing him from having a girlfriend, not his height. If he was ok with it and had confidence in himself then his height wouldn't be an issue. There may be a few girls out there that would still be put off by his height, but most of them wouldn't care if he was a nice, outgoing, friendly guy. Tell him to go out and practice talking to women in clubs and stuff and try to not think about the fact that he's short. Hey, even little people date and marry people of normal height!!

There are alot of shallow people who would judge someone only on their appearance, but nice people get to know someone before making a judgement.
He cant do anything much about his height, but he can make sure he has a nice personality and try to have a good sense of humour.
My mate who is 5ft 4" used to date guys who were on the small side and she's a stunner! It was more about mutual attraction than a height competition!

I really sympathise. I'm 5ft 5, and at 20 was really lacking in confidence, which is the key!
Many girls are under 5 ft. And if hes taller than them it will give him a confidence boost. The problem is that THEY wear heels, so will look bigger than him. He should try stacked or cuban heeled boots. It gives you a whole new outlook.
He could try online dating too (not agencies), or join clubs/organisations as being able to chat to girls in non dating situations will boost his self esteem.
He WILL find the one. I did.

I have dated short guys! I'm only 5 ft 3, so shorties are perfect. Just tell your friend that's its time to realize that he's not getting any taller. He should be proud of who he is and how he looks. There are girls that don't mind if their man is a little bit shorter!

okay so some girls have a weird thing about short guys, but maybe its tough for them? who know whatthey could be missing?!
unfortunatly i dont have any miricle grow forular. tbh he has to become comfortable he girls aint worth it!with his size before he can do anything, hopefully he has a gsoh and personality, you have to put yourself outthere, if you dont take risks youll never know. also if you get knocked back purley because of his size the girls aint worth it
maybe he should be humouros about his size,
or if all else fails girls the same hight or smaller.

hey real women should not care what height they are it works the opposite way doesnt it (man tall women short) so why not the other way? If the guy has a great personality trustworth honest sincere then physical apperance should not matter

He really needs to get over himself....there are plenty of beautiful women that are smaller than him...look for sites for short person dating..I know there are some out there
