I will ask this question with all due respect and kindness. What if you are wrong to not believe in Jesus Christ? What if it is Satan’s greatest deception to make everything seem as though there is no creator, that we as people are the only “gods” to whom any recognition is owned?

As ask this in light of bible scripture, Satan beguiles men now, the same as he beguiled Eve in Eden, by exciting a desire to obtain forbidden knowledge, “Ye shall be as gods,” he declares, “knowing good and evil.”

The prince of darkness has a masterly mind, and he skillfully adapts his temptations to men of every variety of condition and culture, he works “with all deceivableness and unrighteousness” to gain control of everyone. Even bible prophesy declares that, “Because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved,” therefore “God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie.” 2 Thess 2:10,11.

My question to ALL is then: What if you are deceived?

What if you are wrong? You waste your whole life worshiping a made-up god in a highly proscribed manner and then you die to stand before Lord Bakkonnen (or some such crap) and find that your constant begging was nothing but an annoyance that you will now be punished for. And who says this god of yours is the best deal. Pick the wrong deal and you are condemned. Or is this god's deal better than the god down the street that offers eternal life+ 2 weeks? What if you are deceived?

What if there is nothing? You ever think of stepping off your pedestal and look at something from another person's point of view? If there isn't, have you wasted a giant part of your life?

In all honesty, the world would crumble if people didn't have the ability or the faith to believe in something greater than themselves. No matter what a person's beliefs, they should be neither praised nor condemned for them. Religion is a personal matter and should be treated as such.

Christians: What if you are wrong?

You live your whole life believing in something that in based in just belief. You worship a false belief your whole life and miss out on many choices because your illusion tells you not to.

You have the hope that your soul will exist after your body perishes but you don't go to a heaven, you just die.

How do you feel now?

It looks, as if I am deceived by the question. I pray the Christ and I feel the result, that my prayers are answered! But I am sure it is not the Satan or Prince of Darkness who answer of prayers!!

None of us know, thus we all may be deceived.
I really don't care what awaits me, whatever it is, awaits us all whatever we believe.

Religion purely satisfies the needs of those who are insecure, giving them some strength, fair play to those who need it. I don't.
I would like to think oblivion awaits me.

Jesus no doubt existed, but I don't believe he was anything but a normal mortal.

If I need spiritual help, I ask my dear departed old man

If I am wrong then I would be really angry with god for equipping me with a logical scientific mind, and then punishing me for it. It would seem totally unfair wouldnt it. Just remember, its not about choice for many or most of us, it is physically impossible for me to believe in god, given my understanding of the bible and my observations of the world around me, just like it would be physically impossible for you to believe in the easter bunny, even if I held a gun to your head. I hope this helps you to understand our views at least..... Peace.

It's worth an eternity in hell just to be sane.

To be sane enough to ask "God" for some evidence of his existence, of which there's none. To be sane enough to think in modern, scientific terms instead of literally believing in imaginary things. To be sane enough to not wish for Armageddon. To be sane enough to not have to proselytize 24/7 like some deranged kook. To be sane enough to let women have control over their bodies and to have equal rights. To be sane enough to feel that people who disagree with me don't necessarily deserve an eternity in hell (just my scorn).

Outstanding!!!
I agree, understand though many of those here who do not believe have minds that are "seared" against even the thought of God, Joseph Stalin, who studied theology and rejected God not only rejected God, but on his death bed, just before he died, shook his fist at God just before he died. I believe that when Christ comes and prooves that he is God, many will shake thier fist at God and scream at Him as if to say "How dare you proove you exist! how dare you!.
This is a common attitude.

I'm not an atheist, but I do have to say that they have just as much of a chance of being "right" as Christians, Jews, Muslims or anyone else does!
