All very well, but your body does not start removing the alcohol for about 20 mins after you stop drinking and then yes you are quite right about 1 unit per hour. But when you go to sleep your metabolism slows down considerably when you sleep so some of the calculations will be incorrect. That's why a lot of people get nicked by me the morning after. My advice abstain this once, saves the hassle.

It depends what you mean by three drinks. Three drinks could mean you consumed anything from three units (say if you had three single shots of spirits) to nine units (if you had three large pub glasses of wine, or three pints of strong lager).

The rough rule of thumb is that your liver can process one unit per hour, no more, maybe less depending on your state of health, any medications you take, etc.

So let's work on the side of caution: if you consumed nine units from 11pm, it would take nine hours for it all to get out of your system, and you would be alcohol free at approximately 8am the following morning. So if you were out and about and driving before that, there would still be some alcohol in your system.

If, however, you had, say three single vodkas, they would be out of your system by about 3 or 4am and you should be OK to drive.

My view, as someone who works with drink-drivers and people who have committed death by dangerous driving whilst under the influence, is that if you think there might be any alcohol in your system, you shouldn't drive. Having a few units in your system might be below the legal limit, but that still doesn't mean you are safe or, necessarily, legally fit. You can be convicted of "driving unfit" if you seem to be impaired, even if you don't have a breath or blood alcohol level over the limit.

How do you feel?
Drunk enough water?
Eaten something since then?

You should be fine - it usually takes an hour for the body to metabolise each unit, though I usually allow an hour and a half as I'm a petite lass too! If you're liver's less used to drinking then it could take a bit longer.

If in doubt, don't - you don't want to get pulled over...

The liver can process approximately 1 unit of alcohol per hour, a UK unit is a 25ml spirit (40%) half a beer or a small glass of weak wine.

You should be. Your body processes roughly one unit of alcohol an hour. If your drinks are standard pub measures they will contain at most six units in total so your body should have eliminated the alcohol by about 6am

Yes no problem 22 hours and 30 minutes is plenty of time to get the alcohol out of your system.

if you've had 7 or 8 hours sleep your probably fine unless you have a hangover in which case it's this could cause bad driving rather than alcohol in your system if you feel safe drive if you don't feel safe get a taxi

its impossible to say as there are many varying factors. but 3 shots is 3 units, you should be fine but if your really worried you can buy a brethaliser from the net somewhere and test for your self.
