Dude, people put Jedi on forms when they want to tell the census department to turn it sideways and shove it where the sun don't shine.

Although it is a good excuse to wave a lightsaber around and pretend to have Jedi mind powers for children age 1 to 101.

Actually the scientific community is doing research in the "zero point energy" theory which would "explain" psychic powers. And as far as I know the people who follow the Jedi way are not concerned with those powers but instead following what Lucas originally wrote as the "Way of the Jedi" which is more of a philosophy than a religion.

Its a film a made up group and midi clorians don't exist so that is why there is noscientific proof for them
