i think its better to tell her before she finds out herself. It doesnt really matter that you were in a relashionship before if you love her and she'd surely stay with you .no big deal.

Yes, we ask about past relationships. If/when she asks tell her the truth. You don't have to go on and on about all the details (like you're still in love with the other woman), but make sure you mention the important things. How long you were together, how long ago you broke up, and why. (If you were living together or engaged etc.)
Yes, depending on the age.... some women will pull away slightly if they know you're fresh out of a serious relationship. But that's the chance you take. Some women won't. It all depends on what she's looking for. Just remember... it's always best to be honest from the start.
Best wishes!

they do indeed and i think it only polite to do so,,this IS four years of your life and you have every right to talk about it,,it was important to you so it should be important to her,,she doesnt want to know what colour your bedsheets were but other than that,,tell the truth,,why be ashamed of having a past,,it shows you can be committed,,loving,(hopefully),that you must have been doing something right,,the fact it ended is irrelevant really,,,if you speak kindly of your ex all the better,,who wants to date a spiteful resentful person who bitches about the ex just because she is the ex.we all have lives,we all have a past and if you except yours so should any person you date,,if they dont they are not for you i think,,if you start getting hit by the jealousy stick,,run and run fast,,this is a woman with insecurities and your past you cannot change, good bad or ugly.

Yes, women ask about past relationships all the time.
You say the complete truth ---> who she was, loved her/liked her,sex/no sex,the reason for breaking up after so long, etc etc
If you hide something about yourself which you are not proud of,you will only regret it, cos the new girl will find out sooner or later and will probably hate you for hiding the truth but if you tell her in the beginning itself, she will respect you for your honesty OR if she detests you for your lil unpleasant secret, well... can't blame her there...
Good Luck!

woman do ask about past relationships, its only natural. i would be honest with her, if she is right for you she wont mind that you have come out of such a serious relationship and she will give your new relationship a go to see how the two of you get on.

She'll probably be more interested in why it ended. Be very careful how you word this. You don't want to sound like you're in love or still hung up on your ex or that you hate her either. Be neutral but clear that it is over and you're totally into her.(new girl)

In my experience women don't ask. Probably don't want to know. If she asks, tell her. But she won't. You'll be the one to bring it up.

No, she won't. She will appreciate it more if you tell her the truth. Past is past.
