Ok... These quick restore disks will not contain the files you need to complete your driver installation. This is because they contain a factory prepared image of your hard disk. When you use them it applies a factory standard installation on your PC, wiping out all previously stored data.

To overcome your problem you need to do one of the following:

a) Explore the C: drive and open the Windows folder. Look for a "Setup" folder in there. If there is one, then point the installer program to c:\windows\setup and you should be able to complete the driver install. Also look on the C drive for a folder called "Win98". Some manufacturers manually added the Windows setup files in a separate folder as part of the disk image.

b) Try and obtain a copy of Windows98 SE disk. Ask friends and colleagues. You never know who may have a copy lying around. Alternatively there are some torrent sources where you can obtain a copy of Win98SE disk.

Hope this helps :)

Okay, quick and simple.

Create a folder on the C: drive.
Goto to my computer, right click on the cd, and click search/find

type in each of the file names. when they come up copy them to the folder that you created on the C: Drive.

Okay now go back to the setup, and when it asks for these files click browse and dircect it to this folder. Sometimes with Win98 certain files are harder to install from CD.

Hope this helps...
