I grew up in Aberdeen but I now live in London. My mum ships them to me in the post now and then so I can get my rowie fix! I used to wait until the bakers opened after nightclubbing and join the queue for the 1st baked ones of the morning all hot from the oven and soft with melting butter on them. They'd do scotch and steak pies as well as sausage rolls too. I miss Aberdeen bakers, in London where I live it's all nasty Greggs chains.

I also love rowies hot with Dairylea cheese or with strawberry jam. They are so packed full of calories though, they're pure fat!

My friend brought me some Aberdeen Buttery's back when he visited his family and I had them cold and just wish you could buy them here in Brighton, mind you my waistline would increase if they did! :-)

I love them. we used to call them "Flatties" and got them from a place up near Airyhall School.

Do you live in Aberdeen now? Are you abroad and nostalgic?

Aberdeen Angus is simply a breed of cattle, so they taste like beef. The same as the other breeds do.

Deadly things, obviously Aberdeen girls gorge themselves, most being extremely obese!

fine! a rowie aka roll!

fine with jam or cheese.

Asda ones are too doughy, a nice flaky rowie, if posh, slightly heated so it makes fatty marks on bits of paper! great any time night or day

affa fine

Not heard of them. Have you tasted soda bread just out the oven? I grew up on that.

They used to serve them for breakfast in the hotel I worked in in Edinburgh. Bit salty, but so tasty! I would do anything to have one right now. *sigh*
