Why do the debates over religion in this section get so heated? It just seems that this forum could be a great learning opportunity for everyone, instead people here seem really angry and hostile sometimes. What's up with that?

To have change there must be negative and positive

I will tell you what I told the immigration and political section. Cant take the heat, jump out of the frying pan.

I think people are missing the point of an argument. It is an exchange of ideas between thinking people. It is those who are unable to present a strong and coherent view, who get angry.

People are passionate about the things they care for. Sometimes that passion flows into anger or mockery.

Because it is human nature to get angry or defensive when someone is telling you what you believe so strongly is wrong in their eyes.

most people who come to this website come here to argue that their opinion is correct and that someone elses opinion is wrong.
its just some times it gets alittle heated

I disagree with that reply.....
It is a human thing... what ever a person thinks to say, they say... Some do not.... it is from the heart that others reply gracefully, or of evil intent.....
