They are quite common. I am a registered cat breeder, have many cats of my own & I also own a boarding cattery & come across the different eye colour quite often. Nothing to worry about. Just pretty.

I just adopted a 14 yr old long-haired white cat. He has one blue eye and one green eye. He is perfectly healthy.

I thought the two eye colors only occurred in white cats. Only cats with Siamese genes ever have blue eyes.

Heterochromia is considered to be a normal variation of eye color. It occurs not only in cats, but in dogs, horses, and humans as well. While not common in humans, it's not considered to be rare in animals. In a human, it's sometimes an indicator of a health problem, but it can be simply a question of heredity; in an animal it is almost always hereditary, rather than indicative of another medical issue.
